Trigger ConnectedRoom using a Stream Deck

ConnectedRoom has a Button API that allows you to trigger any Actions from external devices or applications, like the Stream Deck.

Enable API Access

On the Buttons page:

  1. Click Edit (Blue pencil)

  2. Select API Access on one of your button

  3. Enable API Access

  4. Copy the URL

You can edit buttons by clicking the Blue pencil on the Buttons page

You can enable API Access for any button using the API Access feature on the Buttons page.
Enabling API Access on a button will give you a unique URL for you to be able to trigger the button externally, like on a Stream Deck.

Install the API Request plugin on your Stream Deck

On your Stream Deck, search for the API Request plugin. It will allow you to trigger the ConnectedRoom API from one of the key of your Stream Deck.

Create a new key on your Stream Deck

Create a new key on your Stream Deck and insert the API Request plugin you just installed.

  1. Paste the URL you got for your button

  2. Select POST for request method
